Wilderness Kids students find Difficult Run easy like Saturday morning....
Sometimes, names just don't hit the mark. Difficult Run -- a roaring stream that is a tributary of the Potomac -- is so named because boatsmen back in the day found that the Potomac's curves were difficult to navigate near the stream. They didn't claim anything difficult about Difficult Run itself.
And neither did 13 Wilderness Kids students who visited Difficult Run on Saturday. It was easy indeed to escape the hot air and slip into its cool waters. To swim and splash and just sit, sit, sit in a fast-flowing waterfall.
Summer has arrived!
